Phoenix Seminary is now accepting applications for a full-time, residential faculty position in New Testament. The position is open rank and begins on July 1, 2025. The successful appointee will teach New Testament and Greek courses, engage in scholarly research, and participate in the wider life of the Seminary. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Teach 18 hours per year in master’s programs
2. Research, publish, and participate in scholarly societies
3. Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees as required
4. Participate in the communal life of the Seminary as detailed in the faculty handbook (e.g. through attendance at chapel, New Student Orientation, etc.)
5. Supervise student theses
Qualifications:
1. A completed doctorate in New Testament or closely related field
2. Personal godliness as evidenced in line with the NT qualifications for an elder
3. Full agreement with the Phoenix Seminary faculty teaching position
4. Teaching experience
5. A record of publication commensurate with the candidate’s career stage
6. Evidence of a strong commitment to the local church, including being a member in good standing of an evangelical, Protestant church
7. Pastoral experience (preferred)
