Faculty Position in Systematic Theology (open rank)

Position Summary: The primary duties will be to teach core master’s level courses in Systematic Theology, electives, and Th.M. seminars and supervise theses in the Th.M. program. The faculty member will participate actively in the department (Center for Biblical and Theological Studies [CBTS]), the full faculty, and the wider Seminary community. The individual’s involvement will include mentoring students, engaging in research and scholarship, and serving on faculty committees.

Education/ Training: Completed Ph.D. in Systematic Theology (ABD candidates will be considered.)

Application deadline: Applications will be received until February 1, 2024.

Start Date: The start date is August 1, 2024, or earlier if the candidate is available.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

  • Evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the World Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith and the Seminary’s governing virtues
  • Unqualified agreement with Western Seminary’s Faculty Teaching Position,
  • Demonstrated experience and skill in teaching both in the classroom and online
  • Demonstrated evidence of scholarly contributions, student mentorship, and irenic collegial interaction
  • Mature and growing Christian faith and involvement in and commitment to the local church.
